Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) is one of the leading research universities in Macau SAR. Located on Taipa Island, MUST offers modern conference facilities within a vibrant academic environment.

Taxis from Macau Outer Harbour take approximately 15 minutes. From Taipa Ferry Terminal, MUST is reachable in under 10 minutes by taxi. Public bus routes also serve the campus.

Participants travelling from Hong Kong may reach Macau by high-speed ferry or via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (HZMB).

Border Crossings

Macau SAR shares two main land border crossings with Guangdong Province. Both are accessible from Zhuhai city.

🛂 Visa Information

Macau SAR has its own immigration arrangements, separate from mainland China. Most nationalities may enter Macau visa-free for short stays of 30 or 90 days depending on the passport held.

Participants should verify the entry requirements applicable to their nationality well in advance of travel by consulting the official Macau Immigration website.

Weather

Subtropical climate in September. Expect warm and humid conditions with temperatures of 28–32°C. Occasional rainfall is possible. Light, breathable clothing is recommended.

Currency

Macanese Pataca (MOP) is the official currency. Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) is widely accepted. Major credit cards are accepted at hotels and restaurants. ATMs are widely available.

Chinese and Portuguese are the official languages of Macau. English is commonly used in academic and professional environments, including at MUST.
